“CoLaborers Zambia” is Zambian-led nonprofit registered under the Ministry of Community Development. We serve under-resourced communities by assisting locally-led organizations with an emphasis on youth ministry, education, drug and alcohol counseling, and food relief. We have been working in Zambia since 2012.

Our branch is led entirely by Zambian staff who lead our child sponsorship program, outreaches, drug and alcohol trainings, food relief, and intern programs as well as personally volunteer each week with local organizations. We have more than 40 organizations in our network.
Many of the children in our program come from impoverished communities in rural areas. Meet individual children to sponsor or donate to overall program support for child home visits and our mentoring program.
Zambia sits on the equator. Half of the year is dry season and half of the year is wet season. With climate instability, we have seen increasing droughts and floods each year, often leaving rural areas on the brink of starvation. Your giving provides needed meal kits to families.
Addiction impacts every community around the globe. Zambia is no different in that respect. Chipo, Nanyemba, Hjordis & Melissa of CoLaborers International share about an evidence-based drug and alcohol counseling curriculum studied and used specifically in Zambia. Your donation supports our ability to help people struggling with addiction.
CoLaborers International has given professional trainings for Zambian-led organizations to increase their capacity in various areas – such as in small business skills, in drug and alcohol curriculum, in seamstress skills, in carpentry, and in a specially developed education curriculum for street children.

Since 2018, we have been providing drug and alcohol counseling training using “Literacy-Free 12 Step Expressive Arts Therapy” as endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Drug Enforcement Commission. To date, we have trained more than 60 organizations in these culturally specific, evidence based materials.
