Life is hard. You don't have to walk alone.

We have the God who walks with us. Whenever we have a challenge, decision, blessing – big or small – God is right there with us. I finished giving a 4 hour long training in the US version of our drug and alcohol curriculum the other day. I was tired. As I unsilenced my phone afterwards, I saw a barrage of messages. One of our international sponsored students was having an emergent health crisis. There was no time. We needed resources immediately. I contacted our board and staff. I prayed expectantly for direction. I followed up on the names I heard in my spirit and there was still no time. I grabbed a guitar I’d been meaning to sell and went to the local shop to sell it. Things are just things… I personally give all I have to make sure we get our people what they need. Even if it is just a seed by proportion of the need. By the time I got home from the shop, the money was there for what we needed and we sent it off that night. The sponsored student is now at the hospital getting the testing needed and next steps plotted.

I want to encourage you that you don’t have to make decisions alone. God sees your need, your tears, your open hands not knowing what to do. God is with you – not telling you life is going to be easy, but walking with you, a witness to what you are going through, a reservoir of creative problem solving. He never said you don’t have to walk. He said, “I will hold your feet so you do not slip” (Psalms 17:5 & 18:33). He said “I will guide and direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6). He said, “I will be with you in that dark valley” (Psalm 23:4)
