The new school term in Southern Province (Macha and Mayobo) is well underway, and we’re grateful to share an encouraging update from our recent visits to Mayobo, Simaubi, Macha Mission, Francis Davison, and Lupata schools. These visits offered a valuable opportunity to connect with the children, hear from families, and witness firsthand the impact of your support.

A Focus on Well-being

One of the most uplifting observations was the overall health and spirit of the pupils. The children are adjusting well to school life, showing resilience and positivity even in the face of everyday challenges.

However, not every story is without hardship. One of our pupils is currently going through a difficult time after the loss of her grandmother, who was her primary guardian. Her family is now searching for a stable and caring guardian to support her moving forward. We kindly ask you to keep her in your prayers during this transition.

Growing Minds and Bright Futures

Academically, there is much to celebrate. The pupils continue to show commitment to their studies, making steady and encouraging progress. With access to learning materials and ongoing support, many are improving consistently.

We are especially proud to share that three pupils in Southern Province have successfully completed their schooling, a milestone worth celebrating! Their achievement is a powerful reminder of what sustained support and determination can accomplish.

Equipping for Success

This term, pupils have been equipped with essential school supplies, including uniforms, books, shoes, and other basic materials. These items are more than just necessities, they help create a sense of belonging and confidence, enabling children to fully participate in school life.

A Call from Families

During our visits, several parents shared a common concern: the ongoing struggle to provide adequate food for their families. Economic challenges continue to affect many households, making it difficult for children to receive consistent, nutritious meals.

Reliable food support would not only improve the children’s health but also enhance their concentration in class and overall well-being. It’s a need that remains both urgent and deeply impactful.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Hope

School administrators expressed heartfelt appreciation for the sponsorship program, noting its positive influence on both academic performance and the general well-being of the pupils.

At the same time, they highlighted a growing need within the community. Many more children could benefit from this support, and there is a strong desire to expand the program to reach them. Doing so would open doors for more students to access education, essential supplies, and the encouragement they need to thrive.

As we continue this journey, we are reminded that every contribution plays a role in shaping brighter futures. Thank you for being part of this story. We hope you will consider supporting our Child Sponsorship Program or sponsor an individual child to provide them with the opportunity to access education, preparing them for a brighter future.
