Missionary Jessica Serving in Lusaka, Zambia

Jessica Jasitt is our Zambia field office member care director. Member care cares for the care-givers, with the goal of both preventing and helping heal from burnout.

As member care director, Jessica provides spiritual support and encouragement to CoLaborers missionaries, interns, volunteers, and local staff members working with children at risk and help them make spiritual sense of situations they face in their context. This takes the form of quarterly retreats on various topics, creating self care plans and providing mediation services.

Jessica served first through CoLaborers International as a summer semester length intern at Chisomo Centers July – September 2017.  Before that, she served in Zambia short term both through Messiah College and Macha International Christian School. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Ministries from Messiah College. While at Messiah, she was the prayer chaplain for their student chaplain team. She has a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.  She has received training in Member Care from Barnabas International.
